"Great alternative to badger - this (The Premier Synthetic Shaving Brush) is a wonderful cruelty-free product. The bristles retain lots of water, which is what you want in a shaving brush, allowing for the use of less cream and water. The bristles are stiff enough to evenly massage the foam on your face over a wider area than than my badger brushes (used old brushes which were given to me) to better prep and exfoliate the beard. The stiffer bristles also allow for a fast mix of lather - try a pumping action to whip it up. The brush seems very durable. Best of all, no animals had to die to produce this brush. Great product overall."

"men-U Premiere Synthetic Brush - A Lathering Machine!
In many of the shaving forums ....I often see questions asked re synthetic shaving brushes. Synthetic shaving brushes have been available for many years. Invariably these have had simple nylon bristles. The men-U brush however uses a new material which I believe is called Toray. The resulting fibre has several properties which make it useful as a shaving product.

The bristles are soft like badger...but firm. Great for exfoliation...but comfortable to use.

The bristles are non absorbent.They therefore need less soap or cream to get a good lather. They also dry incredibly quickly after use.

The brush is easier to clean.

If you look closely at the bristles on one of these brushes...you will see that they are barbed/split. This also increases the lathering capability, and is something that is found in Badger Hair in only the very top end brushes. You could almost get lather out of a stone with one of these!

The knot size is somewhere in the region of 24/25 mm, and the bristles are just the right size to achieve firmness with comfort.

This is a quality brush...made in Italy, and available in a range of colours. I does an excellent job and is a viable alternative to the traditional Badger brush"
